Toddler killed, 12 injured in accident involving four cars in Johor

KOTA TINGGI: A two-year-old boy was killed and 12 others injured in an accident that involved four vehicles on KM57.2 of the Senai-Desaru Expressway here.

Penawar Fire and Rescue Department operation commander Masri Ibrahim said that the department received a distress call at 4.01pm on Sunday (Feb 19).

“A total of 14 personnel from the Penawar and Pasir Gudang Fire and Rescue Departments were deployed to the location on two fire trucks.

“There were 13 victims involved in the four car accidents where a two-year-old child was killed while a woman in her 30s was stuck inside a car,” he said in a statement here.

The other victims managed to get out of the vehicles on their own and suffered minor injuries, he added.

Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Hussin Zamora, when contacted, confirmed receiving a report on the case.
