Sabahans fed up with political turmoil in state, says Kukusan rep

KOTA KINABALU: The people of Sabah are disappointed and want to know why politicians are grabbing for power now, says Kukusan assemblyman Rina Jainal (pic).

She said she had been getting many enquiries from the public on why Sabah Barisan Nasional and Parti Warisan were so desperate to gain power.

The Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah deputy president said that people were bewildered why this was happening, as the current government was doing well and moving forward in economic and social developments.

She said various development programmes in the state could have been carried out and things should have been stable enough politically.

“The leaders should be more focused on bringing about economic and other developments for the people and state,” said Rina.

She said many people wanted to know what triggered this political crisis.

She said the people are fed up with “explanations” that Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has lost his locus-standi and that this happened after he quit Bersatu.

“They want to know the truth. Why is this happening now?” Rina asked.

She said people also want to know why Warisan and Barisan could not wait until the end of Hajiji’s term as Chief Minister and fight over the post now.
