PM launches MYFutureJobs satellite centres initiative at Keluarga Malaysia Carnival

KUALA LUMPUR: The MYFutureJobs Satellite Centres initiative was launched at the Keluarga Malaysia Career Carnival by Prime Minister Datuk Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on Saturday (Dec 12) at the KL Convention Centre.

Organised together with Socso, the satellite centres will serve as a one-stop centre, offering career services such as profiling, career counselling and employability activities for jobseekers, especially those who reside in rural areas.

Currently, there are 43 satellite centres in operation with another 18 to be fully operational by the end of the year.

The career fair organised by the Human Resources Ministry through Socso, saw over 6,000 job seekers vie for the 24,100 vacancies offered by the 75 employers who participated.

The organisers said the fair was organised with the disabled in mind, as 16 employers looked to fill 1,967 vacant positions from that community.

To encourage participation from job seekers with disabilities, Socso will be giving a mobility incentive worth RM1,000 under its PenjanaKerjaya programme to those who pre-registered for the fair and accepted a job offer.

Also present at the launch were Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan, Rural Development Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid and Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Annuar Musa.
