King, Queen break fast with MAF staff

KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah broke their fast with Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) staff, here, on Monday (April 25).

Their Majesties were received by Senior Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein and MAF chief Gen Tan Sri Affendi Buang on arrival at Khalid Al-Walid Mosque, Ministry of Defence (Mindef) in Jalan Padang Tembak.

Also accompanying them were Mindef secretary-general Datuk Seri Muez Abd Aziz; Chief of Army Gen Tan Sri Zamrose Mohd Zain; Chief of Navy Admiral Tan Sri Mohd Reza Mohd Sany and Chief of Air Force Gen Datuk Seri Mohd Asghar Khan Goriman Khan.

The Mindef breaking of fast was held after a two-year absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the function this evening was attended by about 800 MAF personnel.

Their Majesties also consented to perform Maghrib prayers at the mosque with Major Dr Muhammad Syukri Zahari as the imam. – Bernama
