GE15: Perikatan acting like it’s not part of the govt, says Adam Adli

MELAKA: Perikatan Nasional should not be acting like it is not part of the current government, says Pakatan Harapan’s Hang Tuah Jaya candidate Adam Adli Abdul Halim (pic).

“Don’t be mistaken when Perikatan behaves as if it is not part of the current government when in fact it is,” he said at Pakatan’s Melaka-leg of the Jelajah Harapan tour here.

Adam Adli also made a reference to Perikatan’s participation in the National Recovery Council, saying that it would provide figures of the nations recovery without any explanations.

“For example, Perikatan may say that the unemployment rate has dropped but in turn, it also failed to expand on whether these (now employed) groups actually have decent salaries to keep savings, among others,” he said.

Adam Adli, who is also the PKR youth chief, also said that the Hang Tuah Jaya seat should not be taken for granted, despite it being won by Pakatan in 2013 and 2018.

“Yes, we know it is Pakatan’s seat but we cannot be complacent as Barisan Nasional, Perikatan, and others are looking to wrest the seat (from us).

“It’s also not to say that we own the seat (Hang Tuah Jaya) but rather, it is the mandate of the people,” he said.

Adam Adli is one of the four candidates for the Hang Tuah Jaya seat.

The others are Barisan’s Datuk Mohd Ridhwan Mohd Ali, Perikatan’s Mohd Azrudin Md Idris and Gerakan Tanah Air’s Sheikh Ikhzan Sheikh Salleh.
