RAUB: MCA is maintaining its campaign for 44 Federal seats in the 15th General Election, says party secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon.
“Also, MCA will contest in the parliamentary seat of Kepong in the 15th General Election, while MIC will contest in Batu.
“This is accomplished through Barisan Nasional’s spirit of consultation and mutual understanding,” he said in a statement on Friday (Nov 4).
Chong said the misunderstanding in Batu MCA due to seat allocation is understandable.
“But, it doesn’t affect the Barisan Nasional spirit. It’s normal that people need a little time to adjust,” he said.
Chong added that the Kepong candidate will be a 30-year-old who will “work to win the people’s support.”
However, he did not reveal the name of the candidate for Kepong.
Chong acknowledged that the party hopes that voters will grant Barisan-MCA an opportunity in this general election to bring a fresh change to Kepong, and along with it development and progress.
