GE15: Enough experimenting, stick with tried and true BN, says Tok Mat

ISKANDAR PUTERI: Voters should stop experimenting in elections as the people have suffered during the last three years since 2018, says Barisan Nasional deputy chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

He added that during the last three years under three different governments, Malaysia has lost four valuable years and has regressed 20 years backwards.

“Pick a party that has a proven track record and enough with these experimenting as the people have suffered enough since the last general election.

“When Pakatan Harapan took over in 2018, they failed for 22 months and many are disappointed as they claim to have the best formula for the country while for 17 months many were locked inside forcing the people to raise white flags to get help,” he added.

Mohamad said this in his speech during the launching of Johor Barisan machinery for the 15th General Election held at EduCity Indoor Stadium in Iskandar Puteri here on Wednesday (Nov 2) night.

The Barisan general election director told the machinery to work hard and carry out a clean campaign without badmouthing their opponents as the people could now judge better.

“Our focus is to win GE15 so that we can manage the country again. Sabah, Melaka and Johor have proven to be successful after Barisan get the mandate after holding the respective state elections.

“People have trusted Barisan again and I do not see a problem for us to win 20 parliament seats in Johor,” he said adding that their opponents have no more “bullets” to shoot at them.

Also present at the event were Johor Barisan chairman Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad, Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and state MIC chairman R. Vidyananthan.

Meanwhile, Dr Wee said that Malaysia needs to have a strong government which has a proven track record like Barisan.

“Hasni, who is also the state Barisan election director, praised the machinery, which has never failed the people.

“We are not like the Opposition that sows empty sweet promises instead Barisan will implement various realistic efforts for the benefit of the people,” he added.

Dr Wee, who is the incumbent Ayer Hitam MP, also said that under the leadership of Onn Hafiz and Barisan administration, the state has recorded success stories including the success of Iskandar Malaysia which recorded a cumulative investment of RM368bil.

“Since governing Johor with a majority of more than two-thirds in the last Johor state election, Barisan has provided many benefits to the people and Johor.

“Mohamad expressed his admiration for the rise of Johor in the economic sector after Barisan is given a strong mandate by the people in the state polls in March this year.

“The future of the country needs to be managed by a strong government and Barisan is proven with the best track record,” he said in a Facebook post.
