Shafie said candidates who will become MPs must be those who dare to speak up for the people.

“We have capable and very educated candidates. We want those with quality and who can really voice out issues for the people,” he said.

In choosing these young candidates, he said he wants to regenerate the party and make sure there are young people to take the helm from the seniors in the party in future.

Shafie will be announcing Warisan candidates for Peninsular Malaysia on Nov 1.

Warisan expects to contest in about 30 parliamentary and state seats in seven states including Penang, Kedah, Perlis and Selangor.
