KAJANG: A fight that started over several Facebook posts left one man injured with 12 stitches.
In a statement on Sunday (June 19), Kajang Deputy OCPD Supt Mohd Nasir Drahman said that the incident occurred on Friday (June 17) at a restaurant in Bandar Mahkota Cheras.
“The complainant and suspect met up to resolve a personal issue regarding a photo upload of the complainant’s late father on Facebook, and that he was disgraced online.
“However, during the meeting, the suspect lost his temper, started insulting the complainant and attacked him. He then used a metal pipe and plastic chair against the complainant and his friend,” he said, adding that the complainant suffered injuries to the head.
The suspect has been identified and is being pursued by the police.
Investigations are being conducted under Section 324 of the Penal Code, for causing harm with a weapon.
