Cops probing fight between students in Sandakan that went viral

KOTA KINABALU: Police are investigating a fight between a group of students that was caught on video in Sabah’s east coast Sandakan district on Tuesday (May 24).

The 22-second clip has since gone viral over social media.

In the video, more than 10 students, still clad in their school uniforms, could be seen landing punches and blows against one another before several men shouted at them, attempting to stop the fight.

“We have opened a probe under Section 147 of the Penal Code (for rioting).”

Towards this end, ACP Abdul Fuad urged those with information pertaining to the incident to contact the police to help in the investigations.

He said the public may visit the nearest police station or alternatively call the investigating officer Insp Michael Goh at 016-8741216 or 089-203223.
