Samsung Announces Galaxy A41; 5G-Enabled Galaxy A71 And A51 Also Unveiled

Samsung has announced a new entry to their Galaxy A-series of smartphones, as well as upgraded 5G-enabled versions of the A71 and A51. Making its debut is the Galaxy A41, which features a Mediatek chipset and a triple rear camera setup.

It’s also worth noting that this version of the A41 differs visually from the Japanese edition, which was announced back in March. While the Japanese release features a vertical triple camera setup on its back, this newly announced variant offers a rectangular camera island instead.

The Galaxy A41 sports a 6.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch, and an under-display fingerprint sensor. Powering the phone is a Mediatek Helio P65, coupled with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal memory. Other than that, it also packs a 3,500mAh battery with 15W fast charging support, and comes with Android 10 out of the box.

The handset’s triple camera setup includes a 48MP main shooter, along with an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 5MP depth sensor. Lastly, the A41’s notched display features a 25MP selfie camera.

Meanwhile, the 5G editions of the A71 and A51 mostly retain their original specifications, but with the exception of their SoC. This time around, both phones are now equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 980 mid-range chipset, and is offered with up to 8GB of RAM. Additionally, these new variants come standard with 128GB storage and feature a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging support.

Just to recap, the Galaxy A71 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 32MP selfie camera in a punch-hole cutout and an in-display fingerprint scanner. On its back is a quad camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary, 12MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro, and 5MP depth camera.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A51 sports a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED which also features a punch-hole cutout housing a 32MP camera and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Its rear quad camera setup consists of a 48MP main shooter, 12MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro, and a 5MP depth sensor.

Samsung has not revealed the pricing or availability for all three Galaxy A smartphones just yet. The non-5G versions of the Galaxy A71 and A51 were released in Malaysia back in January 2020, and are priced at RM1,799 and RM1,299 respectively.
