HONOR Vision X1 Smart TV Now Official; Retails From 2299 Yuan

Aside from a new notebook and tablet, HONOR also announced its new Smart TV, the Vision X1, during its All-Scenario keynote yesterday. The TV is the successor to the brand’s original Vision Pro Smart TV that launched last year.

Specs-wise, the Vision X1’s beating heart is the Honghu 818 SoC, which houses a quad-core CPU, running in a dual A73 and dual A53 configuration. While graphical tasks are handled by a quad-core Mali-G51 GPU. Additionally, the chipset is capable of both 4K and 8K decoding.

Speaking of output, HONOR has also improved the display panel of the Vision X1, giving it a DCI-P3 colour accuracy of 92%, while also being a 4K display. The brand says that such high colour accuracy will help each TV that rolls out its production line to provide a more faithful reproduction of colour.

HONOR also says that it has tweaked the audio delivery system on the Vision X1, though looking through the specs sheet, it doesn’t seem to be too different from its predecessor; it comes with four 10W tweeters, along with two 0.5-inch speaker boxes. The main difference, though, seems to be a 31-band equaliser and the inclusion of Huawei’s Histen sound technology. Oh, and the TV still comes with HONOR’s own AI assistant, YoYo.

HONOR has also made some tweaks to the software of the Vision X1. First, it will now allow the content on two HONOR smartphones to be projected directly to the TV. Additionally, it says that you can now just use your phone as the remote control.

The HONOR Vision X1 will first see circulation within China, and will be available in three sizes: 65-inches, 55-inches, and 50-inches. Both the 65-inch and 55-inch are priced at 3299 Yuan and 2299 Yuan respectively, while pricing for the 50-inch model will only be disclosed at a later date.

At the time of writing, HONOR did not say if or when the Vision X1 will be available in Malaysia.
