Honor And Cherry Launches New Mechanical Keyboard

Honor, in partnership with Cherry, has recently launched a new mechanical keyboard in China. The brand officially announced this new device on its Weibo page on 2 April 2020.

Surprised? So are we.

While not much information on the keyboard is made available by Honor at this time, it appears that the device is a customised version of Cherry’s MX Board 8.0 with Red switches. This new variation is decked out in two new colour options, along with Honor’s branding.

Users will have a choice of having its keys in either a collection of black, blue, purple and white, or a blue to purple gradient running from top to bottom. Both versions feature RGB backlight on their keys as well.

Additionally, the tech company adds that the new mechanical keyboard will include new features such as AI enhancements and Honor’s own GPU Turbo technology, among others. It also comes with a black carrying case for portability.

The new keyboard is priced at CNY2,659 (~RM1,633), according to its listing on Cherry’s official Taobao page. However, it’s not known if Honor is planning to release the device outside of China at this time.
