Gigabyte Launches AORUS RGB DDR4 RAM With 4400MHz Frequency

Gigabyte has officially pulled the veil back from its new AORUS RGB memory for desktop PCs. The new memory is, of course, based on the current DDR4 memory standard, but more to the point, it runs at a default frequency of 4400MHz.

Gigabyte states that its new memory is designed for use with both Intel’s new Z490 chipset and AMD’s X570 chipset. Specs-wise, the new AORUS RGB RAM comes in kits of two 8GB, giving users a total of 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM. Further, CL timing of the memory is rated at 19-26-26-46.

Aesthetically, the new AORUS RGB kit has its memory modules wrapped up with aluminium heatsink that features an anodised hairline surface, along with a distinct pattern printed on the top that can be felt if you run your fingers through them. Of course, the spine of these memory sticks is fitted with RGB LED that Gigabyte says is more “fluid and robust” than previous designs. It’s called RGB 2.0, and just like how other brands have their own RGB-exclusive light-synching technology, so too does Gigabyte via its RGB Fusion 2.0 app.

As for availability, Gigabyte says that its AORUS RGB 16GB 4400MHz DDR4 ram will be made available nearing the end of the second quarter of this year. At the time of writing, it did not specify local availability or pricing.
