Rapid KL today announced that stations under the Kelana Jaya line LRT that are located between Ampang Park and Kelana Jaya are closed starting today until Tuesday next week, on 15 November 2022. The public transport operator previously reported facing a disruption on the service earlier this week, which resulted in the early closure of the aforementioned stations yesterday evening.
Based on its recent announcement on Twitter, a total of 16 stations have been closed in order to resolve the issue throughout the duration. These include the Ampang Park, KLCC, Kampung Baru, Dang Wangi, Masjid Jamek, Pasar Seni, KL Sentral, Bangsar, Abdullah Hukum, Kerinchi, Universiti, Taman Jaya, Asia Jaya, Taman Paramount, Taman Bahagia, and Kelana Jaya stations. Rapid KL has yet to officially announce the cause, though it is speculated that it may be related to a flaw in the LRT service’s automatic driving system, which also caused the previous disruptions earlier this week.
