The popular e-commerce website Shopee seems to be down at the moment, with many users complaining that they have been logged out of their accounts. Users have been bombarding Shopee’s social media posts asking for an answer, with the company acknowledging the issue as technical difficulties.
Even when logged into the app, trying to check out and make a purchase only results in a server error. As for ShopeeFood, the delivery service also seems to be down with all restaurants on the platform closed.
When we tried it out, the app asked us to verify the account’s email even though it was already a verified and active account, though that didn’t seem to resolve the issue. A quick check on Twitter shows that Shopee users in Indonesia are experiencing the same problem.
Shopee didn’t give a timeline on when it might be resolved but assured users that they are working on it. We’ll keep you updated on any changes but for now, you might have to wait a while to do your online shopping.
