Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that the PlayStation VR2 for PlayStation 5 will be released in Malaysia on 22 February 2023, true to what we have heard before. Aside from the launch date, the company has also revealed its pricing.

The standard PSVR2 package will include a pair of PS VR2 Sense controllers and stereo headphones. For our market, it carries a price tag of RM2,799 according to Isabelle Tomatis, the Vice President of Brand, Hardware, and Peripherals at SIE.

On the launch day, SIE will also be releasing the PS VR2 Horizon Call of The Mountain Bundle which is going to be priced at RM2,999 in Malaysia. For the additional RM200, gamers will be provided with a PlayStation Store voucher code to download the game which is set in the same Horizon universe as per the critically acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West.

In today’s announcement, SIE has also revealed the dedicated charging station for PSVR2 Sense controllers which costs RM229 for our market. According to the company, the charging station allows gamers to charge the controllers without the need to plug them into the PS5 and this essentially helps free up the console’s USB ports.

Meanwhile, Isabelle also noted that the company is expecting more than 20 titles will be available for gamers on PS VR2 launch day. While the full launch line-up list will only be revealed at a later date, the company did announce 11 new PS VR2 titles that will be released next year.

Among those that are on the list is Crossfire: Sierra Squad, The Light Brigade, Cities VR – Enhanced Edition, Jurassic World Aftermath Collection, Pistol Whip, and After The Fall. Last month, SIE has also provided an early look at Horizon Call of The Mountain, Resident Evil Village, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, and Star Wars: Tales from The Galaxy’s Edge.
