The ministry of health (MOH) has revealed via Twitter that it is currently addressing a technical issue on the MySejahtera app. It said that a glitch is causing the system to mistakingly send out booster shot appointments to teenagers below 18 years of age, as well as fully-vaccinated individuals who have already received their supplementary jabs.

As previously explained by the ministry, booster shots are only mandatory to those aged 18 and above, and that there are no second or more additional doses to be issued to the public. Therefore, it encourages parents to teenagers aged 17 and below, as well as fully-vaccinated individuals to ignore and cancel the appointments if they have received it by mistake.

In addition, MOH has also informed PPVs across the nation regarding this issue. These locations are also instructed to reject any booster appointments involving younger teenagers or individuals who have already received their supplementary doses.

The ministry also apologised for any inconveniences caused by the error in the same statement and promised that a fix is currently being worked on for the app. Seeing that the MySejahtera glitch could potentially cause confusion to the public (especially to those who are unaware), it is very likely that the patch is expected to be rolled out very soon.
