Touch ‘n Go (TnG) has announced a new partnership with food delivery platform Foodpanda. With the collaboration, the former’s eWallet service is now integrated into the latter’s system, and can be chosen by customers as a payment method during checkout for its deliveries.

To celebrate the fresh partnership, both companies are offering a special limited-time deal for users who opt to use the newly-added payment method. From today until 28 February 2023, Touch ‘n Go users can enjoy an instant RM12 discount with a minimum purchase of RM15 at checkout when they choose the eWallet to place their Foodpanda orders.

Alan Ni, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital Sdn Bhd said, “Touch ‘n Go eWallet is excited to partner with Foodpanda to provide more than 18 million Touch ‘n Go eWallet users access to a seamless delivery experience across Malaysia.” The platform’s delivery services are not limited to food, as it also includes the ability to purchase your grocery and daily essentials.

Oddly enough, while the integration was officially announced today, a check on TnG’s website found a press release from 23 January of the RM12 off promo. When we tried to checkout using the eWallet, it seems the discount won’t apply automatically, but instead you’ll have to manually key in the voucher code “TNG”.

This isn’t even TnG’s first new tie-up this year, as the fintech firm recently formed a partnership with cashback platform Fave to offer cashbacks to its users. In addition, using the eWallet to scan and pay through any Fave DuitNow QR across over 17,000 F&B outlets can also earn users earn up to an immediate 15% cashback.

On a related note, TnG said back in November that it would be adding more security features to its eWallet by March 2023. This includes improvements such as moving away from OTP SMS verification to a more secure method, tightening fraud rules, launching a dedicated fraud hotline, and more.
