After AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology was announced, the chipmaker promised that more Ryzen CPUs incorporating the technology, such as its Ryzen 7000X3D series, will definitely be coming to the market, and without the restrictions on hardware overclocking. Now, a new report has more or less confirmed that the next generation of chiplet-based Ryzen CPUs will have not one, but three variants available to the market.
Based on the coverage by the Korean entity QuasarZone, the TechTuber seemed to have gotten confirmation that AMD intends to release 16-core, 12-core, and 8-core variants of its next-generation Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs. For that matter, the respective clocks of each variant is expected to be the same as their non-3D V-Cache variant. So, by process of association, the 16-core will be a variation of the Ryzen 9 7950X with a boost clock of 5.7GHz, and so on and so forth. On a related note, the 16-core 3D V-Cache CPU could have as much as 192MB of L3 buffer, which is double the amount of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D.
They shared 3 exclusive Zen 4 3D info.
1) Three Ryzen 7000X3D model is confirmed. 16/12/8C. But about 8C model, it isn’t determined model name whether7700X3D or 7800X3D
2) Unlike Zen 3 3D, clock speed will be same or at least almost same.

The only Ryzen 7000X3D that remains undetermined in its name right now is the 8-core SKU; QuasarZone was unable to confirm if the CPU will be called the 7700X3D or 7800X3D. Having said that, we may not have to wait too long, as the channel also said that AMD is planning on making all three new Zen4 CPUs available early as 23 January. If that’s true, then that also means that we can expect the chipmaker to announce them during CES 2023 at the start of the year. Oh, and they’re all expected to have a 170W TDP.
Of course, one of the primary appeals of the Ryzen 7000X3D SKUs that fans are anticipating and one that we mentioned at the start of this article, is their ability to be overclocked. This feature, or lack thereof with the 5800X3D, was one of, if not the decisive factor for many folks considering buying the CPU.
Honestly though, its vertically stacked L3 Cache more than made up for it.
